About me

Passionate about technology, continuous learning, and innovation, with over 9 years of international experience (Spain and the UK) as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, and Data Scientist. Currently, I combine my role as Data & Decision Engineer with an industrial PhD at UOC on strategic decision-making support in SMEs, where my research lies at the intersection of Knowledge Engineering and Operational Research to develop Evaluative AI models that drive business optimization and organizational resilience.

Beyond the technology itself, my focus is on leading sustainable organizational change: turning data, AI, and analytics into stable, understandable, and useful capabilities that help organizations decide better. I lead the transition toward data-driven cultures by integrating strategic thinking, culture-building, and influence into a single system.

Professional Experience

I have led digital transformation and data-driven strategy projects, building robust and scalable data architectures, optimizing cloud-based infrastructures with a DataOps approach, and managing pipelines that process over 20 TB of data and thousands of query jobs daily. My work has delivered execution time improvements of up to 5x, reduced operational costs by more than 80%, and enhanced data governance and analytics capabilities for organizations serving millions of users worldwide.

Industry Expertise

My professional background spans industries such as fintech, e-learning, and media, where I have designed complex data products, advanced analytics models, and innovative technological solutions to support growth and operational efficiency. I also collaborate with business schools in Spain and the UK to explore how SMEs can leverage AI and optimization techniques to thrive in highly competitive and uncertain environments.

Leading Data-Driven Change

I help SMEs evolve into genuinely data-driven organizations, not by deploying more technology, but by building the organizational capability to ask better questions, decide better, and learn faster than their environment. In volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA/BANI) contexts, I treat change as an adaptive capability rather than a closed project, prioritizing iterative decisions, continuous learning, and organizational resilience over the mere adoption of tools.

My approach moves teams from a “tool culture” to a “culture of why”: before requesting a dashboard, a model, or an AI solution, we clarify which decision we want to improve, which business problem we are solving, and which concrete behavior should change. I work to make data a shared meeting point across business, engineering, analytics, and leadership, rather than a weapon of power, by establishing a common decision language (shared KPIs, definitions, and thresholds), reducing dependency on isolated spreadsheets and indispensable individuals, and ensuring that every analytical or AI solution is tied to a concrete decision, a clear owner, and a real adoption process.

As a change leader, I operate across five complementary roles:

  • Interpreter between business, analytical, and executive languages.
  • Designer of decision processes that are more robust and less dependent on specific people.
  • Cultural facilitator who surfaces deep resistance and opens honest conversations about fears, incentives, and inherited habits.
  • Alliance builder inside and outside the organization, including technology partners, universities, and pilot clients.
  • Ethical and methodological reference for the responsible use of AI in decision-making.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic decision-making under uncertainty (VUCA/BANI) and Evaluative AI for decision support.
  • AI, optimization, Knowledge Engineering, and Operational Research applied to real business decisions.
  • Data architecture, DataOps, and cloud cost and performance optimization at scale.
  • Data governance, KPI standardization, and end-to-end decision traceability.
  • Organizational change management and data-driven culture transformation.
  • Cross-functional stakeholder facilitation and executive communication.

The Value I Bring

My differential contribution is not only technical analysis, but translation between worlds: traditional business, engineering, analytics, leadership, and external stakeholders. I turn data, AI, and optimization into stable organizational capabilities that improve the quality, speed, and traceability of decisions, measuring success not by the number of dashboards or models deployed, but by whether decisions become clearer, more consistent, and better connected to business outcomes. As an industrial PhD candidate, I bridge research and practice, converting academic knowledge into experiments, decision models, and governance practices that help SMEs thrive without losing human judgment or cultural cohesion.

Speaking & Knowledge Sharing

As a speaker at technical and business-oriented events, I share insights on innovation, data-driven culture, and new methodologies for strategic decision-making, with a strong focus on practical impact and business value.
